This Privacy Policy explains how ShipSocial, operated by Dominique Berkein (Belgium), collects, uses, and protects your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian law.
Account data: email address, password (hashed, never stored in plain text), and any information you provide during onboarding (brand name, website, niche, tone preferences).
Brand content: captions, photos, and media you upload to the Service for the purpose of generating social media content.
Usage data: which features you use, when posts are generated or approved, error logs. This is used to improve the Service.
Payment data: billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We receive your billing status and subscription information from Stripe.
We use your data to: provide and improve the Service; generate AI content on your behalf; send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts); and respond to support requests. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Your brand information (website content, niche description, uploaded photos) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate social media content. Anthropic processes this data as a data processor under our instruction. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com. Images are temporarily processed for AI description generation and are not used to train AI models.
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to you and authorised service administrators.
Each processor is contractually bound to process your data only as necessary to provide their service.
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; delete your account and all associated data; export your data in a portable format; object to processing; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email getshipsocial@gmail.com.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records, which are retained for 7 years as required by Belgian tax law).
We use a single session cookie for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. No consent banner is required as we only use strictly necessary cookies.
